Dyspepsia with normal gastroduodenoscopic finding

Dyspepsia with normal gastroduodenoscopic finding

Ceskoslovenska Gastroenterologie a Vyziva 34(4): 209-214

The problem of pain and complaints in the gastric region frequently encountered in medical practice is explained, based on data from 231 patients with dyspepsia and normal gastroduodenoscopic findings. The predilectional site of pain in dyspeptic syndrome is the epigastrium. Painless complaints were reported by 86 patients from a total of 231, i.e., 37%. Neither the site of pain nor food intolerances were specific for the disease. An increased incidence of inflammations of the mucosa of the antrum and body of the stomach was detected on bioptic and histological examination in both sexes. These findings are classified by age groups, according to frequency.
