Positive effect of the systematic application of mineral fertilizers and straw in combination with seed inoculation by associative nitrogen-fixing bacteria on the abundance of soil microorganisms and the nitrifying capacity of leached chernozem under barley plants has been determined in a long-term (25 year-long) field experiment.
