The work proposed to analyze the influence of the time of sowing about the behavior of soybean cultivates, in the region of the Mata Zone, in Rolim de Moura City - RO. The experiment was lead at Federal University of Rondnia - UNIR, in crop 2005/06. The times of sowing had been: 21/11 and 16/12. The experimental delineation was of casuality blocks, in factorial arrangement 2 x 10, with three repetitions. The cultivates used had been: MG/BR-46 Conquista (precocious), Emgopa-313 and MT/BR 53 Tucano (average), recommended for the State. The others cultivars were: FMT Tucunare, BRSMT Pintado, FMT Kaiabi, MSOY 6101, MSOY 8914, 8866 MSOY and MSOY 9350. The variables had been analyzed: number of days for the budding and maturation, final height of plants, number of string beans for plant and productivity of grains. The results of number of days for the budding and maturation had disclosed, through the cycle of maturation of the cultivates, divergence how much the cultivates recommended for the State. For height there was effect of cultivates, where it observed to cultivates of bulk significantly superior. For number of string beans there was effect of the time of sowing, pointing december as the most favorable time. In relation to the productivity of grains the time of december was showed more favorable to the cultivates MT/BR 53 Tucano and MSOY 8914, propitiating more productivity, and the others cultivates didn't differ in the two times of sowing. The genotypes demonstrated good productive performance, presenting itself as a viable alternative for the region.
