Summary
This chapter describes the route and methods of administration and types of access for enteral feeding. The nutrients (macronutrients, vitamins, minerals, water) found in enteral formulae and their physical properties, and the different formulations specific for a particular disease are discussed. The rationale and benefits, indications and contraindications, and complications of enteral feeding are briefly discussed.
