Summary
Grass pollens, forming 75 percent of the total pollen deposit recorded at Landough during June and July, 1942, fluctuated in amount deposited daily. Sunny weather was conducive to the deposition of large quantities. On fine sunny days the principal grasses (Festuca rubra comprising one fourth of the total grass population in flower at the time of the experiment recorded in the second paper, and Holcus lanatus comprising three-fifths) flowered slightly in the morning, but profusely in the late, afternoon. Pollen liberation was crowded into a short period following mass anthesis.
