Summary
The c.f. and virus neutralization tests were used to study cross-reactions between antigenic preparations from type C variants of FMD virus (C-Poland, C-ChSSR, C-TL-112, C-PL-42, C-65 and C-standard), propagated in primary monolayers of pig kidney tissue culture, and variant-specific immune serum prepared in guineapigs. The variants, C-Poland, C-PL-42, C-ChSSR and C-TL-112, were antigenically homogeneous, with only minor differences, but were distinct from the C-65 and C-Standard variants.
