Summary
From a herd affected with brucellosis, 6 cows were treated daily for 20 days by i/m injection of 5 g dihydrostreptomycin and the oral administration of 5 g chlortetracycline and 100 ml of 331/3% sulphadimidine solution. Three of these cows further received i/m injections of 25 ml of 'Eubioton V, a non-specific protein preparation. Daily blood and milk samples from these cows and four untreated controls from the same affected herd were examined for brucella antibodies by the ring test, and also injected into g.pigs.
