Summary

The method consists of paper repartition in n-heptane-methanol solvent, 50/50, of ether extracts of urine previously exposed to acid hydrolysis. After elution the spectrophoto-metric absorption at 280 mμ of estrogenic fractions in ethanol solutions (estrone-estriol and estradiol) allow a quantitative evaluation. The specificity of the method is satisfactory and because of the relative simplicity of handling the method should be useful in clinical practice.
