Summary
The relaxing effect of pyro-phosphate on living skeletal muscle in an excited state was investigated, using isolated toad gastrocnemius muscle which was perfused arterially with Ringer's solution. It is felt that pyro-phosphate bears no relation to the physiological relaxation of living skeletal muscle.References
