Summary
Studies on the alkaloidal constituents of the leaves of R. stricta resulted in the isolation and structural elucidation of rhazimal (16-formylstrictamine), rhazimol (deacetylakuammiline), rhazinol (a hydroxymethyl analog of strictamine). Two more new alkaloids, stricticine and strictine, were also isolated.
